Andrea Acedo Trueba – 2020-21 Recipient of the UC Berkeley D.K. Kim Fellowship

Haas has been a dream come true.  It is the perfect school for what I want to do (social entrepreneurship), and this generous award has allowed me to pivot into an industry that I am passionate about and is incredibly fulfilling and beneficial to society.

I always try to make my career decisions thinking about the impact that they can have on others.  My award has allowed me to keep this principle central in my life and figure out where in the social impact space I can go beyond myself and truly give my best towards a social goal.

Kai Ronald Nakkim – Recipient of 2018 Asia America Youth Symphony Scholarship

Dear Mr. D.K. Kim,

…With your encouragement, I will try my best and strive for greatness in any musical endeavor I encounter. This will allow me to use the talents that God has given me. I hope to use them to glorify Him. Thank you so much for blessing me with this scholarship. and most importantly, for believing in me. I will never forget you.
