In 2019, the D.K. Kim Foundation provided a $15,000.00 donation to the Korean American Special Education Center to support their mission of bridging the gap for the Korean immigrant community in accessing assistance and services they, or their families, may need for mental health and other disabilities.

The Center educates the families and communities to accurately understand developmental disabilities and mental health while removing the stigma that may come from seeking help. Music therapy, basketball, and parent workshops are just some of the interactive and engaging programs offered at this Center.
