Eligibility

The D.K. Kim Loan is open to full-time international students at the UC Berkeley, Haas School of Business preparing to enter their second year of study. The interest-free loan is available to students who are not able to participate in U.S. Federal Loan programs.

The D.K. Kim Loan amounts are approximately $10,000 and vary depending on the number of applicants and financial need. Preference is given to outstanding international students that demonstrate a commitment to community service.

Requirements

The D.K. Kim Foundation chose the Haas School of Business as the recipient of funding due to its dedication to developing its students as more than just MBAs, but rather as global citizens with a responsibility to improve their communities.   Along with the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, the D.K. Kim Foundation believes in exemplifying four defining principles for success:
