The Samdech Euv Secondary School in Cambodia has been completed

As part of our continuing efforts to provide education to the remote areas of Cambodia, we are proud to announce that the, Samdech Euv Secondary School has been completed. Located in Village 2, Sangkrat 3 of Preah Sihanouk town of the Preah Sihanouk providence, D.K. Kim Cambodia Foundation built new 2 story building consisting of 16 classrooms able to accommodate a growing number of students, a freestanding Direction Office for the efficient administration, and clean restroom facilities to promote good hygiene.

With the project successfully completed, the Inauguration Ceremony was held on November 1, 2012 to the delight of the students and families of the local community. Many guests in various government departments were in attendance and the ceremony was presided by: Governor of the Preah Shianouk providence, His Excellency Sbong Sarath; Secretary of State, Bum Sambo, honorable guests from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and other government agencies; and Mr. Dong Koo Kim, Founder of D.K. Kim Foundation himself. In recognition of his dedication to the wellbeing of Cambodia’s youth, Mr. Dong Koo Kim was presented with an Appreciation Certificate and Medal from Governor His Excellency Sbong Sarath.
And also to the delight of everyone present, the ceremonial ribbon was cut together with guests, signifying the opening of the new facility for Samdech Euv Secondary School. In a showing of good will, a tree sapling was planted together by these three men with the optimism that its growth would represent the strength and unity of this program.

Continuing the spirit of advancement, the D.K. Kim Foundation made a further agreement with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport to become an official supporter for the Samdech Euv Secondary School.

As an official supporter, the foundation will continue to improve the quality of the school and has already commenced renovations to the campus grounds such as trenching, flattening, landscaping, and etc.
