This engaging three-week program is an on campus summer experience forĀ first-year students studying computer science and related STEM fields.

The Frank R. Seaver College of Science and Engineering located at LMU was selected by Google to host this program that is modeled after the classic CSSI Program run at Google sites. The D.K. Kim Foundation further believes in this program because it is specifically offered to students who are usually underrepresented in STEM programs, including women, minorities, and first-generation or low-income college students.

When the program began in the summer of 2017, LMU was one of only four universities invited by Google to run an Extension program. Since then, the program has continued its partnership with Google, providing students with the technical skills, soft skills, and confidence to help them thrive at the university and beyond.
